Samsung N150 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 7 Hours of Battery Life
Customer Rating (4.0/5)
I ordered a Samsung N150, after much research and were not disappointed. The main reasons for my choice were: 1 screen mesh, I prefer the glossy screen on the other netbooks in stores, has seen have 2 battery life, 3 blue mat does not cover the implementation of fingerprints, 4 positive evaluation of keyboard, 5 super-quiet fan. And yet fulfilled all my expectations of these functions. Other interesting features: silky smooth operation of the lid, hinges, and an integrated webcam andMicrophone.
One drawback, as mentioned in a previous reviewer: the initial configuration of the hard disk and software takes a long time (one hour or less). From what I read, there are other netbooks, there are setup times much shorter. Fortunately, only a sentence to go with this netbook. Be patient and get through it well. Do not expect to do some useful work until the day after it reaches the mail box.
Another downside is thatThe processor seems rather slow (compared to desktop PC or a full-size notebooks), and in some operations, such as a shoe and data transmission and unpacking / installing software. This is simply because the processor is optimized for low power consumption. And imagine that other netbooks have the same problems, so it's no knock against specific N150. This is a price for the eighth all netbooks that small and power-stingy.
Apart from the boot, and once even get Samsungready to go, good web browsing, email, word processing and video surveillance. I could watch Netflix streaming video without problems. The speakers are decent, but the battery-powered iPod speakers Altec Lansing iM237 headphones connected to sound like a much better and stronger.
Suggestions:
1st Allow at least an hour for initial setup. Be patient.
2A or turn off the automatic Windows Update in Control Panel and changeUpdate rate "every day" to "one day a week." perform automatic updates from local processor every time, and wonder why the netbook runs so slowly every morning will.
3rd From the Start menu, type "Task Manager" in the search box and enter a shortcut to Task Manager in the Start menu or taskbar. Meeting with the Task Manager, because it is the CPU usage, memory usage, and shows which processes are running in the background. When the blue harddrive "flashes and slows the netbook, task manager will tell you why.
4th On the Start menu, install the type of "gadgets" in the search field, and the "gadget on the desktop CPU. Large display is always current status of CPU usage and RAM usage small dial readings. Another good tool monitor the CPU load. If the needle is in red (bound for instance, during the boot process), will not do much. Wait until the needle is outside the red zoneBefore you try to do some other task of the CPU.
5th installed McAfee antivirus program free download and forget "Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and it works great. Saved me from many other notebook attacks. Also download "Malwarebytes 'program'.
6 Forget MS Office "trialware and download the free Open Office, which works like MS Office and able to open MS Office files and save MS Office files. (Open Office is alsobetter than a netbook with this part of the package MS-work. I downloaded Open Office and then uninstall MS Office and MS Works.)
Some owners have parts that stick with 1 GB RAM, 2 GB RAM, reported improved performance. Before you go this route, I have the Windows ReadyBoost feature, which Microsoft says the service is trying to improve some operations. Exactly, what operations it is not clear, and when I tried it with ReadyBoost USB flash drive with 4GB of Emory, I could seeno difference.
All in all, the Samsung netbook is a nice package. Two thumbs up.
- 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Processor

The Samsung N150 netbook gives you value without compromise. It starts with a powerful Intel Atom N450 processor and Windows 7 Starter OS. The non-glare 10.1 inch screen gives you plenty of room, while a 3-in-1 memory card slot and 3 USB 2.0 ports make it easy to connect a digital camera, printer and more. At a scant 2.7 lbs, you can pick up and go at a moment’s notice, and the 7-hour battery is good for all day. And what’s life without choices? The N150 netbook comes in your choice or glossy red, glossy black or fingerprint-free matte blue.
